Fourty-seven civilians were killed Friday when the Eritrean Air Force launched bombing attacks on civilian targets in retaliation for Ethiopia's bombing of Asmara. The border conflict between Ethiopia and Eritrea escalated dramatically yesterday after negotiations by the United States and Rwanda failed.
